Paula Deen is hilarious to watch on television. "This is delicious, ya'll." Well, this was pretty good, with applause from the family all around. But I felt like there was something missing. We'll have to work on that.
Paula's recipe sounds a little like chicken and biscuits to me, with a buscuity topping rather than a crust. Thus, my family and I joking named it "Chicken Pot Biscuit."

Cranberry Scones
For Mother's Day, my mom jokingly asked for someone to make dinner for the week as her gift. I actually volunteered. It's my first week off from school and I really want to try some recipes.
But, back to the food.
I am in love with
They're beautiful. Half of them are gone already. Mom took one. Sister and her two friends took one each. They have that texture of a scone, but they aren't unbearably dry like some I'm sure you've tried. Unlike Deb, I made mine in the traditional wedge shape and greased my pan. I always grease my pans, as I've had some bad baking experiences with ungreased baking sheets.
I will definitely be making these again. Maybe replacing the dried fruit and adding some spices. My mom requested chocolate chip, buuuut I'm not sure those would hold up well.
